Power off your XBCD XBox Gamepad device. Disconnect the device from your computer. Reconnect the device and power it on. Double click the driver download to extract it. If a language option is given, select your language. Follow the directions on the installation program screen. Reboot your computer. I had a old laptop that was a 32 bit and i used xbcd v 1.07 from. Now I have downloaded it to a new laptop with windows 7.

Installation[edit]

  1. Plug in your controller
  2. Install XBCD (On Windows Vista/Windows 7 run as admin)
    • During the installation of the software you will be prompted to install the drivers via a wizard that appears, click next throughout till the driver is installed.

Xbox 360 pad users will have an additional prompt to install an older driver over the common class driver, click yes on this prompt to complete installation.Reinstallations of the driver can be done at any time from the start menu program group.

Hi, has anyone managed to get xbox 360 pad working on windows 10? I didn't expect much but tried the driver from microsoft for windows 7- 64bit with Xbox 360 controller drivers - Windows 10 Forums.

On some controllers, such as arcade sticks, the setup might recognize the stick as a D-pad. In this case you may want to change the control assignment from POV to Axis. Copy the directions from the left stick.
