Good company to drive for because Roehl is consistent on their core values. Safety is the number one priority. Dealt with good and a few bad driver managers. Everything is dispatched on the workflow and communicate with your driver manager/maintenance. That is the key if issues are presented.
Trucking is truly a lifestyle and you must take care of yourself out on the road. No one is going to hold your hand and you must own up to the responsibles. It's easy to get negative and fall in line with other disgruntled drivers but I choose not too. I usually stayed away and kept to myself.
Carry food. water, bathroom utilities in the truck in case getting stuck somewhere for hours on end. That saved me alot of stress especially traveling out east. Saving money is the key to succeed even on days when your making no money. Dont turn any loads down even if it's a short haul. Always be prepared for the unexpected.
Overall it was a good experience by traveling all parts of the country. I left because I found a better job opportunity after 6 years with Roehl as a driver.
